Case Study - Rivington Water Treatment Works, Chester

To cope with an increase in water demand, a new water filter complex was built in Rivington, Chester.

Via key filter media placer, Western Carbons, Garside supplied 1100t of Garside 14/25 dried filter media. The majority of the sand was placed hydrostatically at a rate of 40 tonne/hour into the filter, as shown, and then topped up with bagged material.

Over three weeks, Garside supplied over 1100t of sand, both bagged and loose. Garside’s flexible production processes, including a dedicated double shift, resulted in the customer’s delivery requirements and deadlines being met.
