For the refurbishment of North West Water’s rapid gravity filters at Cumwhinton Water Treatment Works in Carlisle, Garside has supplied over 350t of their Garside 14/25 FilterMedia for placement by Western Carbons.
Due to its particular grain shape Garside’s 14/25 FilterMedia is ideal for use in rapid gravity filters where the water is pushed through at high pressure to remove impurities.
The graded material was delivered over a 5 day period both loose and in bulk bags. Garside’s flexible production process ensured that deliveries mirrored the exact tonnages required in each filter and at the specific times required.
