Fees for Monitoring Mining and Landfill Sites in England
New regulations for monitoring mining and landfill sites came into force on 6 April 2006 despite SAMSA’s concerns about the increased burden the legislation will impose on mineral operators. The regulations will allow Mineral Planning Authorities to charge for up to 8 site visits per year. A fee of £288 will initially be payable per visit.
